Behind The Scenes Look!
Have you ever wondered about the life of models and photographers in the fashion world? Well today, we are going to take you behind the scenes of our most recent Nicole photo shoot! A lot of work goes into any photo shoot but in the fashion world, we think, it takes a little extra care to present the trends correctly to our fans.
Photo shoots have to be planned days and sometimes weeks in advanced! This is because, there's a lot of prep work before you head out to shoot. Some of the basics include, having a model lined up, outfits planned, shoes picked out, a chosen location and, of course, a look at the weather forecast! Once all of this has been planned out, then you can have the shoot. Another thing that has to be kept in mind is, when you get the best light (usually in the morning).
For this particular photo shoot, we headed to downtown Lynchburg (Virginia), on a sunny morning, to show off some of our new, to die for, spring line! We went to various places in the city to capture the best shots. Afterwards, I spoke with our photographer, Yoora Hwang, so I could give you some of her thoughts on photo shoots.
"One thing you have to pay the most attention to is, the details in the location that you choose. You want to find a spot that speaks to the brand before you place the model because that is how you get quality shots."
Another thing Hwang said was about how important wardrobe is. "Along with the location, you want the wardrobe to speak to the brand as well. You need to pair these shoes with clothes that you think your customers would want to wear."
I also asked her, what her favorite and least favorite parts of the job were. "My favorite part is getting great shots, coming back to the office and seeing them look great on the computer is so exciting. I truly enjoy photography but I guess my least favorite part is shooting in the cold (haha) but it's still always worth it!"
So there you have it, a sneak peek behind the scenes of a real life fashion photo shoot! It's a lot of work, but it's always worth it. We love getting to show off these awesome shoes.
